Hi Ladies,

Free to a good home

Fisher Price Trike2Bike

My neighbor gave us this bike because her son only rode it 2 or 3 times. We've never used it, so it's almost new. It's free to the first person who emails me. I will bring it to either Kapolei or CORP (sorry, Ocean Pointe is a bit early in the morning for me to get there from Waikele :)!!). Email me at alohab@hawaii.rr.com if you are interested. Bike details below:

The Trike2Bike is a pedal ride-on that is both a tricycle and a bicycle. The trike easily converts to a big-kid-style training bike with just a simple adjustment. Double-wide rear bike wheel provides extra stability for little riders. Bike converts back to a trike just as easily for more three-wheeled fun. Chunky foot pedals and easy-grip handlebars make it easy for little ones to pedal and steer. Four-position adjustable seat grows with kids for years of fun. Maximum weight capacity 50 lbs.

* The Trike2Bike is a pedal ride-on that is both a tricyle and a bicycle.
* In both modes/stages of operation, the product's pedaling or driving action is similar to that of a bicycle - center drive, rear-wheel axle.
* Conversion from trike to bike mode is simple to execute.
* The trike to bike includes an adjustable seat and is for children ages 2+.

Mom Spotlight - Stephanie *UPDATE*

**UPDATE**  Sarah just emailed to let me know that Stephanie had reached her goal  that she set for herself, and is ready for her APFT.  CONGRATULATIONS Stephanie!!  Here is her spotlight below:

Welcome Stephanie to our mom spotlight.  Stephanie is a killer runner, usually in the front of the pack, pushing her double stroller!  Stephanie attends classes at Ocean Pointe (M, W), CORP (Tu, Th) and occasionally on Fridays at Kapolei.

Stephanie writes:

"Hello!  My name is Stephanie.  I have two children, Jennifer (5) and Patrick (1).  I am originally from Connecticut and moved to Hawaii 2 and a half years ago.  My husband is in the Navy, and is stationed at Pearl Harbor.  I have always had to stay in some kind of shape to pass my APFT (Army Physical Fitness Test) because I was in the active Army for three years and I am currently in the Hawaii National Guard.  During my pregnancy and after the birth of Patrick, I didn't do any exercise at all and wasn't eating what I should, and too much of what I shouldn't.
I finally had to take my first APFT with my unit.  Part of the test is a 2 mile run that has to be completed within 21 minutes.  I barely made the 2 miles in that time.  I had never done so poorly on my run, and I felt horrible about it.  That Monday, I was browsing the computer and came upon the Stroller Strides website.  Stroller Strides has given me the motivation to start exercising, and Weight Watchers has helped me on the food side.  I have lost almost 40 pounds since October and feel a lot better about myself.  My unit is taking another APFT in April and I can't wait!  Besides running, I like to hike, read, scrapbook and photography.

Stephanie ran in the Straub/Kapiolani Women's 10K this weekend (see photo above), and finished in an amazing 50:02 minutes (thanks Sarah for the info!).  She is planning on running the Honolulu Marathon this December, and has already begun training for it.
Thanks Stephanie for taking part in our mom spotlight "series!"  You are truly an inspiration!
