July 4th Class

A special class is planned for Saturday, July 4th on the North Shore.  The last one in January was such a success, and so much fun!

Meet at the Sunset Beach Fire Station which is located in Pupukea (just past Waimea Bay). Parking is located in the lot beside the station across from Foodland.

What to bring: towel, stroller, sunscreen and family!

Location class this Saturday

A special class will be help this Saturday with our Stroller Strides friends on the Windward side.  Class will be held at beautiful Kailua Beach Park at 9am.  Please bring your families, beach gear and stuff for a picnic after class.

*this class will be in lieu of class at CORP, so don't go there if you normally attend, or were planning to attend, Saturday class.

A great time was had by all!  Thanks to Sarah for all of the great photos, that's why she's not in any of them.  I think she ran like lightning to make sure she caught everyone crossing the finish line!

CONGRATULATIONS!!

To all who participated in the Seabee 5K race this past weekend.  Stroller Strides really represented in the stroller category, and finished well ahead of many running without strollers!  It was a lot of fun, and we hope to see more of you out there for the next race.

Look for your fellow Stroller Striders in the 5K, 5K Stroller and 10K (Buffy!) divisions.  Please note, Kim M. is in the 5K division, but did run with her stroller!  Some of the results were mixed up and have not been corrected as of yet.

U.S. Navy Seabee 5K Run

**online registration ends today, so make sure to click on the link below to sign up for the race if you are planning on entering. If you are bringing your kids, make sure to choose the stroller 5k or 10k category**

THIS SATURDAY!! In lieu of class, we are entering as a team for the annual U.S. Navy Seabee 5K/10K and 1K Keiki Fun Run. We are planning on doing the 5K as a team together. Everyone will go at their own pace and we will run/walk together! Strollers are welcome, so let's get out there!

Cost to enter is $20 and includes a t-shirt.

North Shore Field Trip - Part 1

We had a great Saturday class on the North Shore on January 17th.  Families showed up for a special workout on Sunset Beach, for a beautiful day and lots of fun.  Stay-tuned for our next "field trip" at Queen's Beach in Waikiki in February!

Special Saturday Class - Queen's Beach

On February 14th, there will be a special location class with the 2 other Stroller Strides locations (Honolulu and Kaneohe/Kailua) at Queen's Beach in Waikiki.

Remember, Saturdays are family day, so make sure to bring your families (husbands/significant others/older kids) for this special Valentine's Day Class, and bring something CHOCOLATE to share after class.  Yes, a chocolate potluck!  And, this has been endorsed by our trainers :)!! 

The trainers from all 3 locations will be teaching that day, so it will be a great opportunity to learn new exercises, and meet lots of moms from all over the island.

Saturday Hike/Location Change

In lieu of the regular class at CORP on Saturdays, Sarah has planned a fun excursion/workout on the North Shore this week.

Sarah has planned an exciting class with music, songs, water and sand.

This is a great way to get to know the island, and enjoy each other's company.

After class we will walk across the street and have a Starbucks together!

Did you know...

Saturdays are family day?  So ladies, pack up your kids AND your significant others (and older kids) and drag them down to Waipio(CORP) on Saturday mornings at 9am for a great workout.  Jill's husband, Bryant, always makes an appearance on the days that she is instructing, so men, you can be assured that you will not be the only one there.  And, they can see how hard we all work!  I will be dragging, oops...bringing...Noa whenever he is in town.  It is a lot of fun and definitely mixes up the workout.
